I see you, leaning against your car, staring, at something
With the smoke of your cigarette adorning your air.
And you have this expression, of utter calm.
I love the fever, I love the rush of blood,
I love the heartbeats to my ears.
But then, I love the serene,
I love the slow.
I love the soothe with you.
And looking at you like this, time
Stops. I could never appreciate anything,
More than your presence. You then look at me
And I know you are thinking the same. You smile,
No matter how many minutes pass by, we feel peace.
This one is really meh, but I just tried another experiment. Do check out poetryhive for the prompts.
